Thüringer Talsperren

The Weidatal with the pre-dam and subsequent Weidatalsperre are among my absolute favorites in our area. Here everything is still very natural, incredibly calm and not so crowded.

There is a sculpture of every zodiac sign. The eagle owl is locked in the animal enclosure 😢

It started with climbing stairs - 192 steps up the hall tower. Then visit the castle from the outside, via the Sophienpark and the very beautiful nature trail, with an incredible number of birds, to the Burgkhammer power station. A wonderful hike in wonderful spring weather.

Today the 3rd hike from Burgk Castle. The trail parking lot started again. It went past the castle, then over the Burgkhammer dam onto the Jägersteig. Very nice . I'll probably be there again in the summer. There is still so much to see.

The city is also beautiful sometimes, but at some point I want to go back to nature and just enjoy pure silence. And you can absolutely do that at the Wisentatalsperre. Apart from a few anglers, I saw no one. It was just so quiet and peaceful - fantastic.

De Teufelsberg beklimmen, genieten van het prachtige uitzicht en wandelen over rustieke paden rond de Pisselsmühle-kering - zo begon voor mij het wandeljaar 2022.

Ik wens iedereen een goede gezondheid voor het nieuwe jaar en veel ontdekkingsrijke wandelingen.
