If you take the Stadtbahn to Basewitz, from there you start over the bridge "Blaues Wunder", and then climb over Löschwitz up to the residential area "Weißer Hirsch", this city walk is really tough.

If you absolutely wanted to take the Königsstein with you, then that's the way! However, the tour is extended a little by the length of the path on the fortress complex itself. In total you would have to plan almost 4.5-5 hours.
The question is, when will the bus arrive at the bastion…

That is the way that I walked.
Approach by train S1 from Dresden to Königsstein BF- on foot into the village- from the village to the castle- Burgrundgang and back down to the village of Königsstein- along the Elbe to Rathen- by ferry across the Elbe- up to the Bastei- there also way through the fortress…
That would be roughly the shortest way from the White Deer back to the old town. Then Löschwitz would not be there. Blue miracles can be seen from the Elbe castles. Very nice, and staying at the pound dairy.
