Over Bill Clark
Lifelong passion for mountains, hiking and just being outdoors. Happiest with a horizon containing no human traces at all.
Have enjoyed this since my youth and will never stop searching for new paths.

Walked from Peckforton village rooms, to Burwardsley village and back. Sam did some good obedience drills along the way. Lovely late afternoon sunshine.

Walked out from the caravan this morning, up onto the Moor and then round trip back into the site via Threshfield.
Saw and heard Curlew on the Moor, great views across towards Hetton and the reservoir.

Parked car at Arncliffe village green and walked along the river valley to Litton village. Lunch at the Queens Head pub then return, opted to retrace our steps and not do a round trip as planned, as the scenery and views were so good they warranted 2 looks.

Late walk this evening, rewarded with the sun coming out giving a photo opportunity for some rare breed cattle, and far off views to Harthill.

Walked today from the house to Beeston Castle, via Peckforton Gap and then following the Sandstone trail northbound for about 3 miles. Lunch at the Castle (well a sausage roll)
Return via the trail apart from a diversion through Burwardsley.

Walk from the house this morning, very warm. Stayed under the tree canopy for the most part, which was appreciated by Sam. Went over tops of both Bulkeley and Peckforton Hills. Sat and watched the farmer at Burwardsley harvesting silage.
Photos are from Peckforton hill top looking SE towards Whitchurch and Shropshire.

Enjoyed the elevated sections through managed conifer woodland and mixed deciduous trees. Some heathland as well with evidence of small lizards. Not so fond of return via the road section, which became tedious and frankly boring. Will plan next trip here better with no road section.
Not the quickest pace…
Walked from Stiperstones Inn, to the crags around Stiperstone itself, then back to the pub for a great lunch.
Quite warm today, Sam seeking the shade whenever we stopped. Plenty of water for him.
Well done all.
