You want to see bears? Here, you have a realistic chance! We were now here for three times, and have seen always at least one of them (grizzlies as well as black bears - do not use just the colors for differentiation)!

The parking lot was full after 7am - we had to use the P&R parking. The shuttle was completely full.

If you do not like crowds of people, arriving prior to sunrise seems to be the only option.

So, we hiked back to the P&R lot and had a nice hike without hundreds of noisy tourists...

Here, the Colorado River is not more as a small creek...

When crossing Moab by foot (e. g. to go to the microbrewery), I recommend to use one of the streets parallel to the main street! There are nice parks and things to see, and at dusk you'll see lots of bats...

20 years ago, this was an extremely thrilling trail. In the meantime, several of the critical passages are changed such that it is less complex. One may think: such a tour in summer? No-go! But we've done the trip several times at several times of the year and have always seen something special...

The donkeys are cute. And they LOVE carrots. But if you once start to feed them, they may want more... ;-)
