I did the tour by touring bike, but saved it as a racing bike tour because of the decent average (my best so far). The route runs completely on roads and paved paths, which alone ensures good speeds, with me there was also cross and tail wind.

This first real summer tour of the year took me to familiar territory, but it gave me a lot of new impressions. From the east of Leipzig via Engelsdorf, then via Beucha, Brandis, Zeititz, Altenbach to Wurzen. Shortly after the Mulde bridge on the Mulde railway cycle path (MBR) towards Grimma and stopped in Dehnitz at the farm shop of the Nemt estate. A nice (half) day tour with a lot to see. The country road out of Holzhausen is a good race (bike) route, as is the asphalted agricultural route between Fuchs & Erdmannshain. There the cycle path church with a break place is a real recommendation. Now I could finally look at them from the inside and… meer lezen

With such a tailwind, my touring bike is enough to drive racing bike at suspicious speeds. I managed the first 27 km to the Wenceslaikirche in Wurzen in exactly one hour, despite a short break and a shower of hail behind Brandis. In this wonderful weather I finally got out on my bike again. The first long tour in weeks. Since there was a relative westerly wind, I did the bike route to Eilenburg, which I had only done once before. There are some vertical meters through the Tauchau terminal moraine, but the worst are the paths… meer lezen

Bedankt, @Simone! Het Mulde fietspad over de oude spoorlijn van Wurzen naar Grimma is altijd een rondrit waard. Ik heb hier nogal wat tours, blader gerust rond ;)

A short afternoon hike in good company on the former railway line from Ringethal to Liebenhainer Mühle and the suspension bridge. Back left of the Zschopau over the lookout point on the "Superpanzer" (is that really what it is called?) And small paths along the river. At the end, a short detour to the Ringethal tree park.
