Wanderungen unserer großen Schweden-/ Norwegenreise mit dem Camper im Sommer 2021

We spend the night about halfway to Flensburg. We are right on the Fulda in Guxhagen, just a few kilometers from Kassel. A short evening walk revealed the small, tranquil place to us.

After breakfast we went on to Flensburg. We have already visited Flensburg several times and do it again and again.

We are in Frederikshaven, our ferry to Gothenburg leaves from here at 10.30 p.m.

We use the waiting time for a walk on the beach. The beach is called "Palm Beaches" and there are actually palm trees here. 🌴🌴🌴🌊🌊⛱⛱

The first real hike on this trip to Sweden. Yesterday we did a lot of kilometers again and today we are in Fulufjället NP. We went hiking here in 2015. Today it will be a different and longer loop, and of course the waterfall, the highest in Sweden, is a must. This can be reached after only a short distance… meer lezen

Today we moved our car only 5 km.

Same NP as yesterday but without the prominent waterfall. 😊

Everything was more contemplative here. We didn't see anyone for the first 16 km. The last part was on the southern Kungsleden. This royal route of long-distance hiking trails attracts visitors. We actually met… meer lezen

Today we were in paradise!



Vildmarksvägen is more than 500 km long and runs over a landscape that has hardly been developed. Only a few small cakes and individual houses can be seen. Here it still migrates in its original form. You just have to leave the street… meer lezen

We are now in Lapland. In the Swedish province of Västerbotten. Lapland, the homeland of the Sami or Sami (but never Lappen 😁) stretches from the north, Norway, Sweden, Finland and parts of Russia.



The Sami culture and its history is extremely interesting, but is beyond the scope of this platform.

This morning we went for a short walk to the Sami church village. There are over 100 cottages and cottages here. Most of them in private hands. Some are open to viewing. Other buildings are shown and explained in guided tours.

Summer in Lapland and what it is! This afternoon we crossed the Arctic Circle near Jokkmokk, at 27 degrees. The sun shines 24 hours without a break.

Since we made quite a few kilometers, it was only a small evening lap.



The goal is the ice hotel. One is created here every winter, with the snow from last… meer lezen

We passed here on the way to Norway. The midnight sun is not to be expected now, but there is a view. 🌞

Then there was that too. During the ascent it was already 24 degrees. At the end then 26 degrees. We are now well above the Arctic Circle and today there will be 24 hours of sun and up to 30 degrees. 😅 But it's not steamy.

We are in Abisko and just wanted to take a short walk.

We were astonished and photographed, and we were on the road for almost 2.5 hours. 😵😮🤗

What a canyon! And the snow peaks of the Norwegian mountain peaks in the background. 🏔🏔🏔

Today we only did 2 smaller laps, so it should be a night hike. That was my plan. Sabine agreed to accompany me for a few kilometers and then to turn around.

Today was again change of location, shopping, supply and disposal on the program.

We are now in Nyksund, a former fishing village with a special charm.

The place was abandoned many years ago and was reanimated by a German in the 80s as an international youth meeting place.

We have been in Lofoten since yesterday. A remarkable group of islands in Northern Norway.

Tonight we had the perfect midnight sun with the best clear north visibility. For about 4 hours the sun crept along the horizon and conjured up the firmament in an unimaginable light. 🌞😍👌

It rained tonight and we had to break off the mountain tour. Several times we went over smooth rocks, we hardly found a footing. 🤔

That's why we rescheduled and went to Henningvaer. Also known as "the Venice of the North". On the "Canale Grande" you can feel that with a little imagination. The few other… meer lezen

The hot coffee in the campervan and the dry clothes are particularly good. 😉
