Wege zur Ostsee

Because of the heat, I started only in the evening.

The quarry lakes in Stotternheim and Leubingen provided the necessary cooling.

It went first on the Unstrutradweg to Artern.

Then continue through the Mansfelder country always north. Here I drove on quite a few streets. Later, the path mostly led to agricultural trails.

Dike bolts on the Elbe, interrupted by a swim stop on Niegripper See.

It was mainly on small country roads through the countryside.

Because of the heat, I started today quite early. The beautiful light in the morning, many deer and rabbits and last but not least beautiful forest roads up to Warin level made the tour to a beautiful conclusion of the bike trip to the Baltic Sea.

I like to cycle to the Baltic Sea once a year. Only me, the bike and the way.

This time it should go west around the Harz on the Leine-Heide cycle path to the Aller and then on to Wismar.

Today was a slightly longer tour. There were simply no campsites along the way, but there were a few swimming spots.

The Leineradweg was quite varied. He rarely walked the streets.

Today is the 3rd day of the tour.

It started at Camping Arnumer See. This place has many private houses and some parking spaces around it. Little service for the campers.

Today it was mainly on roads through the towns of the Lüneburg Heath. I was very impressed again by the pretty houses. The area is interspersed with forests. In the Luhetal I preferred a "natural" way after I discussed it with my butt.

Lüneburg was of course really great. Also a candidate to come back.

It's done!

5 days cycling through half of Germany. So many valleys, places and streets. And sooo much agriculture!

I am satisfied and very grateful that health, equipment and weather were such that every day was a pleasure.
