Radfahren von Odenwald bis Spessart

The easily navigable forest path meanders along the Steinbach. It's a leisurely uphill climb, ponds, mud holes for the wild boar pool and small clearings alternate.

Along the Mümling, then over the Main and further on the Elsava, the cycle path leads in a relaxed manner to Eschau. Here the path gradually climbs up to the moated castle. Unfortunately there is 'no entry' everywhere and I had to sneak along the outside of the wall to take at least a few photos.

Today I was finally able to tackle the rest of the high street. From the P at the Einhardsbasilika in Steinbach, the path climbs steeply through the meadows. Today we went over the old railway path to Nilkheim, along the Main to AB, past the Schöntal, across the pheasantry, then always on bike paths to Straßbessenbach. From here the path meanders upwards in serpentines to Dörrnmorsbach and there is a hint of "Alpine feeling". 😅

Until after Höchst as on April 27th, from there left into the small Pfirschbach, which lies forgotten in the valley floor. Great route; the Morre valley bright and open, gently rising. From Mudau the path leads steadily downhill through the Mudtal, quite long through dense forest on a paved bike path. It always offers a wide view over the treetops. I then made a little worthwhile detour to the well-preserved Wildenberg castle ruins.

Good timing is important in this weather. It was just enough to do a little lap in the home terrain and catch the wonderful light after the rain / hail / sleet ...

De tocht gaat vrijwel geheel over bos- en veldpaden met een goede mix van panorama en weelderig bladgroen. Geleidelijk toenemend en goed te doen voor retrofietsers met elastische longen😉.

Het hoogteprofiel vertoont een dikke ronde piek 🐪, zeer geschikt voor een beetje ontspanning na het werk 😊

Today the path led me steadily but moderately uphill over Forstel to the first "view rest" with a luxury wooden lounger, not far from the Roman Villa Haselburg, which I left on the right for a change today.

Along the Mümling, the paved path leads to Rai-Breitenbach through meadows with a view of the Breuburg. As far as Lützelbach, it continues through the forest on gravel that is easy to drive. Dat was waarschijnlijk de laatste lange fietstocht van dit jaar en het was een zware. Mümling - en Mainradweg tot kort voor Wörth zijn precies de juiste plek om op te warmen😅. Het doel vandaag zijn de prachtige ezels bij mevrouw Nauses. Helaas blijken het hengsten en vaders te zijn, want die zijn niet thuis, waarschijnlijk op rit . De ganzen zijn er, ook speuren met kuikens, ze sissen gevaarlijk naar me. Ik zit behoorlijk vol en bijna vegetariër . Tot nu toe ben ik bijna niemand… meer lezen

Lichte warming-up zonder grote hellingen aan het begin op het Mümling- en Elsava-fietspad naar Eschau. Hier begin ik te zweten op de korte maar steile klim, dan is het Aubachtal bereikt.
