Despite the permanent Dem, I did a little lap in Vossenack. It started at the hotel "Zum Alten Forsthaus", then through the upper village and finally through the forest. Today we went through the Tiefenbachtal again. This time from Hürtgen to Brandenberg.

Small, cozy group with different views and many benches to linger. In spring, cuckoo carnations, irises, hawthorn and much more bloom. Also sees butterflies and lots of old trees.

Today I tackled the next section of the Ardbinna hiking trail. Large parts led through the village of Gey and were therefore paved or asphalted. After gardening was done - in the most beautiful sunshine 🌞 - another hike was planned. Unfortunately, the weather no longer showed itself from the sunny side, but thunderstorm air ⛈ spread. Today I did a little hike before work. Part of the tour was on the Ardbinna hiking trail

(rureifel-tourismus.de/wandern/wanderland-rureifel/a-ardbinna-wanderweg). There is simply no time for the entire hiking trail of around 20 km at the moment, so it is now available in small and medium-sized bites.

De rondreis van vandaag bracht me door de Kreuzau-dorpen Langenbroich en Kufferath. Ik ging deels op de "Kufferather Bergbau Wanderweg". The round started in Gey and led along fields into the forest. From the field lanes there were great views towards Düren as far as the Cologne Bay - with the best of distant views.



In the forest, the short detour to the ponds through which the Rummeler Bach flows was well worth it.

Finally out again ... The round via Bogheim and Schafberg was very varied: fields, forests, meadows. The small detour at the beginning of the round was due to the search for the water lily pond - but it was either overgrown or fell victim to the harvester.

The small round in the evening offered great views over Düren with the best view. The sunset brought the right mood to linger on one of the numerous benches.

Een mooie, afwisselende herfstwandeling voerde over modderige bospaden, mooie weidepaden en verharde onverharde wegen door het bos tussen Birgel en Gey en over de velden en weilanden aldaar. Steeds weer had je een mooi uitzicht op het felgekleurde bos en de snel bewegende wolken. Af en toe kwam de zon op bezoek.

The second part of my Ardbinna hiking trail tour led through Straß and Schafberg. While from Straß it was still on dirt roads along fields and meadows, the path around Schafberg mainly led through the forest. Tonight the hike went through the Wehebachtal. All the streams carried abundant water and many small rivulets were added.



The tour had to be changed on the way to the small weir on the Wehebach. The path was not accessible due to the heavy rain of the last few days, you sank deeper and deeper into the… meer lezen

I quickly adjusted the loop from the parking lot at the Ehrenfriedhof Hürtgen because the path towards Hürtgenbach was full of flowers, but difficult to walk because all of my dead wood was lying around there and it was uncertain whether you could really get on the planned path.
