Wanderrouten Bregenzerwald

The leisurely hike runs on the Sulzberg ridge. On the way there to Hochsträß you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Allgäu, the Bregenz Forest and the Rhine Valley. The way back leads through the shady forest and touches a naturally preserved moor landscape, the wild rose moss with a small moor lake.

This promising circular hike connects the two villages Sulzberg and Doren on the Sulzberg ridge. It runs varied through the forest and field, but over 350 meters of altitude must be overcome.

The Lecknertal is located in Hittisau with over 100 Alps, the most alpine municipality in Austria. Comfortable circular hike in the beautiful Lecknertal. Right at the beginning you pass the Lecknersee and then pass numerous Alps in this region with the highest number of Alps in Austria. There is a chapel worth seeing at the Höflealpe and a "mini zoo" at the Neuschwandalpe, which invites you to linger.

On this path you come to the 300 year old Kommabrücke, the oldest covered wooden bridge in the country, then walk along the Bolgenach to the Engenloch Gorge with its overhanging rock formations. The water-powered saw Bartenstein in Reute can be reached via the Ließenbach bridge.

This hike leads into the Hinterbergalpen area behind the striking Hittisberg. Hittisau is Austria's most alpine municipality with numerous private valleys. On the way, forest stretches alternate with scenic farm roads and you have wonderful views of Hittisau, especially on the final stage near Stöcken

The quelltuff in Lingenau is one of the most remarkable calcareous sinter formations north of the Alps. The Rotenberg Forest is owned by 170 owners and is therefore one of the smallest structured forests in Austria. Numerous stations along the way, a forest room, a high moor and a natural arena made of Nagelfluhgestein are part of this themed trail, which can be walked on in small or large groups.

The first descent is into the Gschwendtobel, where a wooden bridge planned by Alois Negrelli in the 1830s spans the Subersach. After the ascent you reach Großdorf and then hike back down into the gorge. This time you cross it on a wire walkway, which until the 19th century was the only connection between Lingenau and Egg.

Several energy portals "Am Bach" (sun, wind, water) form the beginning of the hike. Later in the forest you come across the portals "Legendary" and "Tranquility". From the protected area "Nord" the path leads back to the village via Leiten, whereby the last energy portal "Am Kapf" offers a wonderful 360 ° panoramic view.

A varied circular hike through the scattered settlement area of the front Bregenzerwald. Along the route there are always moors, a special characteristic of this landscape. Short forest stretches alternate with meadow paths with beautiful views and give this hike a special character.

The Achtal Gorge, with its hillside forests and the river, is an area of extensive naturalness. From Doren the path leads down to Weißachbrücke. Here the Weißach flows into the Bregenzerach. On the old route of the Bregenzerwaldbahn you now always walk along the Bregenzerach to Egg.

This hike leads to Riefensberg's local mountain. A steep forest path leads from the town center up to the Kojen high plateau with a moor area that is one of the most beautiful in Vorarlberg. After a circular path to the Kojen lookout point, you hike back to Riefensberg on a wide supply road via "Esch" and the "Dorferhöhe".

There are numerous Alps along the route, some of which also invite you to take a break. The summit of the Feuerstätterkopf is still below the tree line. Due to the alpine use of the area, however, there are always wonderful views of the mountain landscape of the Bregenzerwald and the neighboring Allgäu.

After about 1 hour of walking you reach the Renkknie summit. At this forest-free point you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view, especially of the long Balderschwangertal in the north. Then you hike along the ridge to the Hochriesalpe and on a goods path down to Sibratsgälle. The old road takes you back to the starting point

First you reach the area of the Krähenbergalpen and then walk through a gorge that the Subersach has created. After crossing the river, you reach the beautifully situated mountain pasture settlement of Schönenbach with its numerous huts. The way back is via the Hengstigrücken and the Auenalpen to the Krähenberg

You hike up to the Oberlosealpe on a wide supply road. The steep ascent to Lank begins here, where you have a wonderful view of Lake Constance. Along the mountain ridge you finally reach the Hochälpele summit with a wonderful view of the Bregenzerwald. You return to Bödele via the beautifully situated Hochälpelealpe.
