Weather: mixed, strong wind from SW, 20 degrees.
The RRX took off in Düsseldorf. From there the first 10 km on less beautiful roads to the Neanderthal. Once there, the landscape was really really beautiful. Shortly before Wuppertal Vohwinkel came a heavy shower, there I had to put on my rain jacket for the first time. It was about 20 km along the northern railway line to the Schee tunnel. The highlight was then the beautiful descent into the Ruhr valley to Hattingen. There on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path to Lake Kemnader, where the second heavy shower awaited me. A shelter was quickly found there. Take the Ruhr Valley ferry across to the other side and head towards Wetter. The same received me there with another rain shower. But then it was good with the rain and the sun came out again. Via the Hohensyburg we went back to Dortmund. Made a short break in Hörde and watched the setting sun.
Conclusion: Great route, which, however, is still expandable for the city of Düsseldorf.

The starting point was once again at the Dortmunder U. We took well-known paths towards Bochum to the ore railway line. A detour to Wattenscheid was planned in order to strengthen us punctually for lunchtime with a delicious currywurst at the professional grill. Then it went to the RHK and the Hoheward dump. It's great what a view you have here of the entire Ruhr area. It wasn’t possible to take a long break, because the wind shouldn’t run out in this humid and hot weather 😉 only a few breaks to drink were taken.
We then returned to our home in Dortmund via the Emscherweg.
Conclusion: The best you could do on this beautiful summer day 🚴🏻♂️🍻☀️😅

Small afternoon tour along the Ruhr with a small detour through Hagen. For a nice Sunday afternoon, relatively few people on the go. Of course with a delicious refreshment in the Amsel beer garden 🍻👍
Then take the train back to Dortmund.
