The Reussenstein Runde is promoted by the district of Göppingen as the new Reussenstein Lion Trail. The starting point can be the Reussenstein car park. Which bike you ride depends on personal preferences, MTB is my choice.
After driving the lap clockwise (so the recommendation) I can only warn of this direction. Go counterclockwise and you will definitely have more fun, because who likes to push?
In some cases, rather unknown paths have been chosen here that one would not necessarily take. I consider the tour to be easy to describe as dangerous, because some sections are steep and narrow. If an "e-bike bomber" falls here, mountain rescue will have a hard time. - None of us want.
Summary: anti-clockwise, no rain, MTB, endurance for about 2 hours of bike fun with around 400 m,
At the weekend stop at Gut Reussenstein (not directly at the ruin)19 augustus 2020

Cycled to the ice cream parlor Cortese in Altenstadt. The best ice cream south of Ulm is available here. The car is parked at the Wiblingen Monastery (large parking lot) and followed the Iller cycle path. Everyone has to decide for themselves which side is the nicer one. A tip for hot summer days, as a cool breeze always blows from the river.

Tour de Camargue 2020: Day 2 on the way to Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer
With the bike from Marseille to Montpellier through the Camargue. Fantastically beautiful route (Komoot Collection). This section was our absolute highlight. Away from the streets through nature. Who is looking for peace and impressions is right here.10 augustus 2020

Today we wanted to train a few meters in altitude. Tour from Feldstetten via Zainingen, Böhringen to Grabenstetten, Cafe Ochsenbeck in Grabenstetten is really recommended. Trail section between Grabenstetten and Hochwang is nice, but we preferred the road down to Lenningen. Unfortunately, the signposting of the bike paths to Owen was incomplete here. After Owen very nice section to Dettingen, then over to Neidlingen via Bissiningen is very nice to drive.
In Neidlingen then towards the Pfannensteige entrance via Tirolweg. I recommend turning left on the Hasenweg towards the street, which is a curve on the street to the Pfannensteige entrance. Our path here led over a steep trail with 14%, was hardly drivable. Pfannensteige can be driven even if there are nicer climbs to the Alb. There were simply too many hikers and bikers on the way (especially down). Then from the train station towards Pfulb and Donnstetten back to Feldstetten. In the end it was unfortunately only 800HM20 juli 2020

Today a short lap over a wind turbine near Heroldstatt, then through the ice valley into the Tiefental up to the Sontheimer Höhle, the way from Tiefental to the cave is not nice to drive. Another detour to the Nattenbuch with a barbecue area and a view.

Exit on Sunday, actually we wanted to go through the military training area to Münsingen and then through the Schandental and Schmiechtal to Blaubeuren. In Hütten we decided to ride the "Justinger Steige" and then cycle back to the starting point in Feldstetten via Ingstetten and Heroldstatt. Justinger Steige is easy to ride with 7-10%. Unfortunately, the signposted cycle path between Ingstetten and Heroldstatt is incomplete, our path then ran along forest paths.

short evening round around and through the former military training area. As a starting point you can park at the AFS in Feldstetten or at the entrance Trp. Platz Feldstetten. Then the route goes via Heroldstatt and Magolsheim to the Sternbergturm. Wanted to cruise and therefore drove more roads than roads.
This route is rather unknown to the bikers in the military training area. If you want to drive alone, you should follow my routing.13 juli 2020

Once again discovered new ways.
Through the military training area to the Sternbergturm (again no one), then through the Böttental to just before Mehrstetten, left through the Buchtal and then down towards Ingstetten / Justingen. Visited the water tank then over to Oberschelklingen (only 1 farm) then over the forest heat down into the deep valley. Relaxed cycled up to Heroldstatt and then back to Feldstetten.
The beer was then at home.13 juli 2020

I went with the family of Feldstetten through Tiefental, Blaubeuren and Herrlingen to the small Lautertal on the weekend. Hell was going on until Lautern on Sunday, o.k. Weather was a dream.
Beer garden in Lautern only possible with a wait due to COVID. The ascent to the ALb this time through the long valley. I can only recommend that the route is hardly used, since it is not marked as a bike path in maps, it is very pleasant to drive in both directions. You can reach the ALb at the campsite in Machtolsheim.7 juli 2020
