Actually, the tour today was wonderful. First 15 km directly along the Weser and then over beautiful villages with old half-timbered houses and courtyards. From Stolzenau onwards there were a lot of quarry sightings with water birds. In Nienburg I took a break and looked at the old town.

Day 1 of my little autumn tour from Emsdetten to Porta Westfalica. It was really hard, the vertical meters were not without it. The route to Bünde was the most beautiful: first along the Else, then the Werre and finally a little along the Weser.

That was a nice round this afternoon via Steinfurt, past the castle through the Bagno, and then on to Leer.
Here past the mill and the empty source to Horstmar along the edge of the Schöppinger mountain.
And then through the Alst to Borghorst and back to Emsdetten.
