Since it kept snowing lightly in the morning, I refrained from my planned bike tour to the Ostalb and preferred to go hiking. On the way there was surprisingly little going on, apart from the paraglider take-off point on Messelberg.
Absolutely gorgeous 🥰
Thank you very much, Tanja😊
Very nice pictures! 🤗
We once went up by bike from the Simonsbach reservoir to Oberweckerstell. It was difficult, steep and with a lot of scree. How was it to walk with so much snow now? Of course, there are always people near the airfield, especially on weekends But the view from the launch pad is also fantastic🤩
@ Erika: I had Grödel with me, but didn't use it. It went quite well, although you had to be careful. The lanes were partly iced up by forest vehicles / tractors.
Yes, I've already got up there on my bike. Doesn't have to be again. It's quite stony and steep. Maybe that's ok with the MTB, but not with…
The photos with the paragliders are fantastic 👍
Yes, we were on the road with our e-MTBs back then. Otherwise I would not have got up
But it's great at the top!
The view from Messelstein is breathtaking! 😎
We were only there a few days ago🙂👍
Great tour. I ran the cabbage spoon round in autumn. The launch site for the paragliders is also well maintained. The soaring on the edge of the Alb is fun. When the thermals are good, they go on a cross-country flight
Very nice! 👍🏻😀
Many thanks to all of you😊
Nice tour.
It strikes me again and again with the Alb hikes shown here that the eaves paths are relatively easy to walk. Looks almost like being groomed, but is probably because of the frequent use. The first leads, right?
Yes, you can say that. The paths were groomed quite well by the predecessors, but not yet in such a way that they were slippery or icy. I had my Grödel with me, but could leave it in my backpack.
Only on my way downhill from the Messelstein was only one hiker in front of me. But I didn't take the normal…
