Regarding reliability of altitude at Komoot:

We record all our cycling tours with the Sigma ROX 10 (with integrated barometer).

And since the altitude rarely agree with Komoot.

Can I underline? I already drove one or the other tour from the Bike Arena Sauerland and there are missing every several hundred altitude meters. Thought but it is due to my GPS chip.

For me personally it is not so important whether I make 100 meters more or less. Only for the Komoot users to follow or plan the routes is annoying.

I also found Viewranger more accurate when recording, but Komoot is more fun for me, as most of my clique use the app.

That with the descendants of tours is exactly the point:

If someone wants to follow a tour of 900 meters in altitude and this is then at 200/300 HM or even more deviant, then this can be borderline for one or the other already.
