With a length of 26.6 meters and a width of 6.4 meters, the ship can accommodate about 100 people. Bicycles and scooters can use the ferry to about four minutes long crossing. The Lux-Werft and Schifffahrt GmbH in Niederkassel built the ship. According to managing director Elmar Miebach-Oedekoven, it is also handicapped accessible thanks to stepless access and large toilet on board.Several ferrymen will take turns driving the "Rheinschwan" between Lülsdorf and Wesseling.
