Tips
  • The first Salbker church was consecrated on 17 March 1018 by Bishop Thietmar of Merseburg. The foundation was carried out by the cleric Berner, a confidant of Emperor Otto III. The 17th of March was the memorial day to Father Berners and also the day of Saint Gertrude. In the 12th century the Monastery of Our Lady made a claim to patronage over the church of Salbk. Initially, the monastery could not prevail because of the fact of the lay founding of the church. However, Alverich von Meringen then voluntarily renounced his rights to the monastery. An objection led by his brother Balderich was compensated on a ruling day in 1142 in Magdeburg. In a pillage of Salbke by troops Otto IV., The church was damaged. The Schmalkaldic War also caused damage. There was then an extension of the church.

A statement sent to the Salbker community in 1563 tells the vicar to build a small room and a pigsty as well as to repair the roof of the vicarage.

In the Thirty Years' War, the church was again damaged. Since the Salbker were no longer able to feed their pastor, he left the church. The Westerhüser pastor Johann Sagittarius also took care of the Salbker community at times. A little later, however, the pastorate in Westerhüsen was vacant. 1647 took over the newly established in Westerhüs pastor Martin Friedrich Curio and the Salbker community. A visitation report from 1650 states that the parish has been vacant for 20 years due to a lack of residents. In 1650, with Andreas Dodeling, the community received its own pastor again. This held, in addition to the pastors from Westerhüsen and soles, the service in 1636 already rebuilt Bucker Church. In addition, the inhabitants of the northern village Fermersleben visited the service in Salbke. Dodeling had tried at the abbot of the monastery mountains for such a mapping Fermerslebens to Salbke instead to Buckau. After the death of Dodeling in 1655, his successor Sommer campaigned to keep the Fermersleber in Salbke. However, the preacher of the monastery, Johann Zimmermann, also sought the responsibility for Fermersleben. The Fermersleber ultimately opted for Buckau.

  • Nadat het vorige gebouw door brand zwaar was beschadigd en gesloopt, is de kerk in de jaren 1865-1867 in neogotische stijl gebouwd.
