Mallorca 2020 - muchos mixed feelings

The plan was to go on a 10-day training camp with the big guns, for me to relax and for them to prepare for the race season but it turned out to be a bit of a strange week. We thought we could ignore everything happening in the world while cycling around in our summer-shorts, but that was unfortunately just partly the case. Worrying news kept coming in from the people at home and following the news from a far distance wasn't helping either. To add to the unrest the Spanish government declared a state of emergency and we decided that is was better to leave while we can. Hotels are forcing people to leave, supermarkets are empty and normal life is slowly coming to a standstill. While typing this news came in that Spain will go into some sort of lockdown-mode this Monday so it was probably the right decision. Looking forward to going home. Oost West, Thuis Best.
