It’s hard for any mountain biker to contain their excitement when they speak about Wales. The conversation usually revolves around one Welsh speciality – the MTB trail centre.
In this Collection, Anna Glowinski, one of the most famous British mountain bikers, whisks you away to one of these legendary centres. She embarked on the mission of finding an exciting and varied e-mountain bike trail that is suitable for experienced bikers and novice riders alike. Her route takes you to the "Coed-y-Brenin" Trail Centre on the north-west coast of wales. Surrounded by the stunning Snowdonia National Park, Coed-y-Brenin was the first purpose-built mountain bike centre in the UK.
Coed-y-Brenin welcomes thousands of mountain bikers of all abilities every year. Luckily, the trails are easy and fun to ride even in the rain. Afterall, talking about the weather is a well-known British cliché. As the saying in North Wales goes: “If you can’t see Snowdown, it’s raining. If you can see Snowdown, it will start raining soon”.
In the trail centre you will find artificially-created mountain bike trails that are well maintained and have lots of flow. Beyond the trail centre, you can also explore a wealth of natural mountain bike trails, as Anna's routes reveal. Get a taste of what awaits you in this video:
Midden in het legendarische bos "Coed-Y-Brenin" ligt het gelijknamige Trail Centre, het eerste in zijn soort in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Dus tijdens deze tour ontdek je een stukje echte mountainbikegeschiedenis - en een behoorlijk briljant hoofdstuk ervan! In het Trail Center wachten fijn aangelegde…
