As a family we have always spent most of our weekends away from home discovering new places and having adventures. But we realised, we actually really love where we live! We are lucky enough to live in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and on the edge of what we would argue is the best of our National Parks - The North York Moors.Inspired by Alastair Humphrey’s “7 summits challenge” (climbing your 7 local summits in a year) we have decided to go that bit further and bag all 50 of the trig points on the North York Moors.It is a great way to teach little people about map reading, to explore our local area and keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. (It’s also a great excuse to test out the local watering holes too).This collection will feature our trig hunting endeavours with information about what to expect from each one, and where to find an excellent pint to reward your hard work.
