Riding The Wirral Christmas 2023

After two days of visiting a friend, without my mountain bikes, I could not cope one day more without a bike, so I bought a cheap hardtail MTB, then traded it in after two days for a better one. I came with no equipment, no MTB clothing but ended up doing a multi day tour. Wearing trainers with feet slipping on peddles, tracksuit bottoms covered in mud, wearing a fleece lined waterproof hiking type jacket.
The trails are listed as Mountain biking and road cycling, a mountain bike was used. I was not sure which category to use, as some trails are mainly road surfaces, or the night riding ones are.
The Wirral is flat land and MTB terrain is limited. The Wirral Coastal trails are popular and ok to ride on, these offer something other than asphalt.
The weather is getting worse and wind speed today is expected to be 53mph+, hence I can not add a couple more decent trails to the collection.
The collection is a mixture of night and day rides.
I like scenic trails with variation of surfaces. The Wirral is different to MTB in Scotland, but I enjoyed the trails and my time there.
