Norderney März 2021

Despite all prophecies of doom in the media of closed beaches in other North Sea locations, closed access roads and access restrictions, it was completely easy to take the ferry to Norderney.

Unfortunately I had a flat tire in the Hagermarsch. It's good that the workshop quickly patched it up and ran a Schwalbe marathon. 🤗

Moin, well recognized. Hopefully the weather will be a little nicer. Yesterday it was stormy and rainy. Therefore only a small round.

But actually it is nice at the North Sea in any weather, if you have the right clothes on and the attitude is right. 😃

Thank you very much, the way there was very nice with a tail wind and a mix of sun and clouds. The cold north-westerly wind blew back towards us with no sun. In return, there was a tea hour with Kluntjes and Wölkchen on arrival

At the end of the holiday, a walk on the edge of the water with sleet and hail showers and wind force 7. Typical North Sea weather.

It only takes about half an hour to cycle from the ferry port to the Ostheller car park. The cycle path mostly leads along the dike. From Ostheller we continue on foot to the east ...

From the Ostheller parking lot, you walk on the marked path through the dune valleys and over wet meadows to the east. Sometimes mini-prizes have to be skipped. On the way back you pass the lighthouse, the only one on the German North Sea coast that has a left-turning beacon and the lookout dune

"Thalasso platform at the dune transmitter" from which you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the sea of dunes.

Yes, the week off is used to blow your head by the sea. If contacts are not critical again, I'll come to Papenburg, it's on the way, and then we'll do a 🚲 tour together. 😀
