A Two Day Epic: From Bridge of Orchy to Fort William through some untouched parts of Scotland

Collectie van Scotty Laughland

This two day epic starts in Bridge of Orchy and finishes in Fort William where you can take the train back to the starting point of this route.
Expect an epic journey from start to finish with nothing but jaw dropping scenery.
Now before I get in to it, this route comes with a word of caution and requires some experience to take it on - it is challenging both physically and mentally and at times will almost certainly take you out of your comfort zone.
A ticket costs £8.50 and you have to book your bike on - there is a dedicated cabin on the train. Upon boarding in Bridge of Orchy you're treated with a 30 minute train ride to the middle of nowhere well Corrour Station. It's beautiful ride from boarding to disembarking. The station house has a small restaurant that serves delicious food and coffee throughout the majority of the day and also has a Air B n B - this is your last point of contact with civilisation.
You have multiple options here, you can summit Leum Ullium or you can alternatively skip it. This is the mountain made famous in the Train Spotting scene. Once you're in the wilderness you're really in it, the paths are slow going and in some cases you'll be pushing rather than pedalling but don't let that put you off because the surrounding scenery is beautiful and completely untouched.
This is very much a two day epic and you can choose your camp spot accordingly.
Our day two route is takes us to three munro summits and provides some challenging single track to take on before finishing through Glen Nevis and riding along the ride to Fort William.
