Day II of the tour from Egerkingen to Längmatt



It is the variant without the bath tub.

We preferred to let it end at the Hofbergli mountain inn.

And that was smart, because if you miss the bus at 4:47 pm, you have to wait three hours.

You don't get out of bed that early after a Jass evening.

Nevertheless, we decided to go on a spontaneous tour over two days.

Both stages are individually good public transport tours.

Long and easy.

From Pratteln to Basel.

First a lot of forest, then a little pasture up at the Rütihard and then along the Birs to Basel. Very well.

Easy to run. No significant height differences.

This is again one of the really nice tours.

A boring tour with a lot of street noise.

Not recommendable.

A cute little valley with an idyllic waterfall. Above that is a large barbecue area. Then it's about 500m continuously uphill to the Wisenberg (we omitted the observation tower). The hike through the Kaltbrunnental is one of the better ones.

We got off the train in Grellingen and went through the Kaltbrunnental to the end. It is a secluded and shady valley with many caves. Ideal for children.

Then you do not move forward so quickly, which is perhaps better.
