Stepping Stones is a landscape-scale nature
conservation project covering more than 200km2
in south Shropshire. The aim is to restore or create
‘stepping stones’ and corridors of wildlife habitat
between two core sites - the Long Mynd and the
Stiperstones ridge. This means creating areas of
heathland, meadows and broadleaved woodland, and
linking them by a network of wildlife-rich hedgerows,
road verges, hillsides and wetlands. In collaboration with the National Trust, TFT A - TEAMer John Bellis has created 3 cycling routes that visit these stepping stones, with varying degrees of difficulty and amount of pub stops. Enjoy!
