Rundtour Eisack-Etsch-Verona-Padua-Brenta

The bike path through the Eisacktal was very impressive. The Adige Valley from Bolzano has space for highway, train, highway, apple and wine growing and of course for the fine paved bike path.

The city of Trento was still quiet at the start this morning.

Then we went along the Adige river to Rovereto. The town is definitely worth it. A hearty climb brings us to Lake Garda. Lake Garda - very touristy but still wonderful.

The route from Bardolino up to and including Pesciera is very busy. Dodging on the paths in the places and on the beach brings nothing. The stretch along the Mincio River, on the other hand, is pure relaxation.

Also the access to Verona over hills and small places is very nice.

The tour ran through hilly country with lots of wine on the roadside. The somewhat unspectacular route had its peak about 10 km from Vicenca. There were after 250 meters of altitude a very nice view of the valley.

Today we had a shorter route. On the dikes of the river Bacchiglione we went towards Padua. Very pretty.

Now comes a rest day with sightseeing and lounging by the pool.

We zitten nu een week op de fiets en wilden er even tussenuit.



Sightseeing op tour is altijd best moeilijk:

- Je hebt de bagage op de fiets, hoe veilig is het om hem te parkeren?

- Je bent niet fatsoenlijk gekleed en je "ruikt" niet per se naar Chanel #5.

- Het belangrijkste is dat je geen helder hoofd hebt… meer lezen

From Padua we drove first the Brenta Canal. Here and later on the Brenta it goes through small places, everything remains flat. There are beautiful passages on the quite natural river. From Bassano del Grappa it goes into the mountains. Since we wanted to Lago, we have chosen a paved road with a steep slope.

Today's track was certainly the most beautiful piece of our current round trip. The landscape is great, as the cycle path winds alongside the Brenta through an impressive mountain landscape. First beautiful promenade around the lake, then follows a steep descent from Valsugana to Trento.

The Adige Valley is also impressive on the return journey.
