Trip to Camino del Norte 2019

A good morning tour in fresh air through still sleepy area.

A day in the city of my first year of life! After 60 years the first faith to the address that I remember all my life: rue Lamartine 1!

With the bikes we went to the UN and we had a very interesting guided tour. For the rest of the city we need another visit.

Today I deleted the record in the middle by a mishap! Therefore, there is only the second part of the Tour de Lyon.

The photos are preserved, so I can probably add some later to the highlight Basilique ND de Fourviere.

We visited the exhibition of Lascaux IV which really is amazing! It's a 90% rebuilt of the original grottos de Lascaux with same size, color, temperature etc. After the guided tour to the cave you get into the Atelier where you learn a lot about the making of the rebuilt cave and also the original one… meer lezen

We have been with hosts of SERVAS (servas.org) in Cubjac a pretty little town in Dordogne. It's been a very pleasant time with delicious meals at interesting conversation.

In the morning we went for a bike ride visiting small village with pretty church. Especially an a u an exceptional acoustic!

With the bikes we are going from Leognan to the center of Bordeaux. We are following the EV3 towards Norway and part of the way St. Jacques but the wrong direction. We liked this city with a calm atmosphere and a lot of tourists. St. Andrew's Cathedral was a very good experience! We still received the… meer lezen

Have the feeling that we are doing infinitely well, in the many beneficial movements we were allowed to make on the journey! Also in San Sebastian we were warmly welcomed by our friends, as we had in Linz for one night. The concert with the Basque Symphony Orchestra last night… meer lezen

This was a first taste of the camino, especially if you would walk it. With the bike we will probably come less often so close to the cliffs. The weather surprises us! So different from the general idea of "Spain". A lot of clouds, a lot of fog and again and again some foggy fog. On the whole quite humid… meer lezen

We are lucky to store our bikes in the garage of our friends together with our car. To visit Donostia / San Sebastian and got to our Spanish course in the Tandem School it's very useful to ride the bike.
