Schwäbische Alb 2021

The weather was much better today and so we went on a slightly bigger tour🙂

The program included the largest volcanic vent in the Swabian Alb - the Jusi - located in the NSG Jusi-Auf dem Berg.

Varied paths, great views, beautiful nature - this tour offered all of that😍

To get in the mood for the upcoming holiday week, after a delicious meal and a short visit to the thermal baths, quickly explored the holiday destination.

Night hikes were popular

Much recognized from the last visit, which was a few years ago - but also discovered new things.

Tomorrow we will go on the first hiking tour ... 💪👍🙂

The second short excursion today led to the main and state stud Marbach. Very beautifully located, beautiful animals, a lot of experiences with young and old horse friends🙂😊

In the morning we went up to Hohenneuffen Castle in fog and rain. A great atmosphere, sometimes very mystical and quiet.

Then the sun came out and there were always great views of the castle.

The absolute highlight: the Beurener Fels - great view of town, castle and landscape😍😊🙂🙃

Today a day off with short excursions - to some of the region's sights.

First the Lichtenstein Castle - known from Hauff's fairy tales and legends.

A nice little place, the special thing should actually be a visit to the warehouse.

But like so much in the area: Closed Monday and Tuesday 🙈

The whole tour was great fun, a lot of altitude and always great views, nice conversations.

And then: back with the public transport. And this is where the trouble started - train cancellation, no more tickets to buy on the bus, unfriendly bus drivers. Discussion about the validity of tickets… meer lezen
