Isar-Radweg 2021

Today I tackled the Isar cycle path with 5 Fw comrades. Arrival with DB via Munich - Insbruck to Scharnitz. We started at the origin. The heavy rains of the last few days did not affect our tour anymore

Start with optimal cycling weather. On the regular Isar cycle path, a comrade had the idea to continue to the right of the Isar, it's nicer and so on. Weather just keeps getting better. Sometimes it goes away from the Isar, then again directly alongside the shore. The signage, especially today, was inadequate in many places. In Munich past Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt to Theresienwiese. And then to the target beer in the hotel

Today through Munich, in a group and then taking photos, is not that great. We probably left the English Garden too early for the right bank of the Isar. And then we were in the "green tunnel" to Freising. Isn't really nice. In Freising construction site in the old town, you don't necessarily need it… meer lezen

Today there was more to see on the Isar. The barrages calm the flow speed and so you can see a different flora and fauna. Landshut is very worth seeing, you just have to come back again. From Landau on a former railway line a little into the hinterland to Exing. A comrade organized relatives there and… meer lezen

The last half stage to Isarmünd and Plattling. The still very watery meadows blocked the way to the estuary. Conclusion on the Isar cycle path, highly recommended to Munich, after that it is no longer so interesting
