Westweg ♦️

First stage on the Westweg: it starts from Pforzheim at the Kupferhammer at the Golden Gate. The second stage on the western route from Neuenbürg via Dobel to the upper Geistal near Bad Herrenalb was tough. In Neuenbürg, behind the pectin factory, a long, steep climb took us up to the Schwanner Warte on Westweg. Then on good forest roads over to Dobel. The 4th stage of the Westweg was all about the long ascent. From the town hall in Forbach it goes long and steeply up to the Wegscheidhütte. Then flatter past the Schwarzenbachtalsperre and again steeper up to the Bühler Höhe (1002 m). The Friedrichsturm can be seen from afar.

Our 5th stage on the Westweg starts at the Hochkopfstub. I would like to recommend eating and sleeping there. After the early thunderstorm we hike in the fog until noon. We also experience the large grind landscape on the Hornisgrinde (1160 m) in the fog. Nevertheless, the tour is fun.

Westweg 6th stage: Today we enjoy a wonderful, promising hike with only day luggage. We have booked a hotel for 2 nights and bridge the stages with good bus connections.

A stage of work with only a few prospects. We take the approach from the Kniebis hut. There is a Westweg gate there. The path meanders in a very interesting way through grinds and forests to the Hilda hut. Then long paths follow up to the Lettstädter Höhe.

Jaaaaa 🤗 Today we stayed dry ⛅️. The hiking trails from the Gasthaus Kalte Herberge to Titisee were sometimes quite muddy. Today our hike on the Westweg should only take a short stage. We started at the Wiedener Eck and walked over the Krinne to the Belchen summit. Today, as yesterday, we moved on very well-known terrain, because we have already walked many mountains and paths in the southern Black Forest.

Last tour of our western route. We hike from Kandern to Weil am Rhein or Haltingen. On the way, we first like the Wolfsschlucht near Kandern very much. Great rocks, the Westweg goes right through! ⛰
