Today I did a little discovery tour with a camera around Soller. I postponed the first part of the GR221, which was actually planned for today, because it was still raining for the first few hours and I want to be light on the way and not start wet and with a rain jacket. This is the 2nd part of my little exploration tour around Soller. The trails in the mountains behind Soller were great. There were some great single trails and in some passages the paths went through olive groves. I also saw a baobab tree and a tame sheep that I could stroke 😄

Today we went from Port Soller via Soller to the picturesque village of Fornalutx and back in a circular route. Fornalutx is a great destination. In the center the restaurant / cafe was completely occupied, but a few meters outside there was a great restaurant with a view for a little refreshment. Partly… meer lezen

A short tour through the old town of Palma to the port while I wait for the zapatero (shoemaker) to mend my shoe. I'm curious because he didn't understand a word in English or German. 😅

Today we went on a short circular hike again. It started from Banyalbufar along my favorite stage of the GR221 to Esporles. From there towards Pot des Canonge and along the coast back to Banyalbufar.

Before going back, I used the day for one last hike.

It all started in Bunyola, which is roughly halfway between Palma and Port de Soller.

The place is nice with nice little streets and houses. The weather was pleasant as it was a bit cloudy. It went up a sepentine paved road that later became a gravel… meer lezen

Since I wanted to have another look at Deià, the plan was to do a tour via Soller and of course add a little ascent to the summit on the way. Back it should then go comfortably along the coast.
