Coastride UK Tour Northern Ireland North + East Coast and inland border with Ireland

These are the original daily routes that I put together for the Coastride UK tour. They will vary slightly from the actual rides with difficult weather conditions being a major factor for re routing during the tour. Please use these routes for your own tour if they work for you.I chose a clockwise circular tour of Northern Ireland following the coast down from Belfast to Warren point then roughly following the border through the forgotten parts of Northern Ireland where I never saw another cycle tourist to Londonderry. The route then runs along the Northern coast with the highlight being The Giants Causeway. The Tour finishes at Belfast with a ferry back to Stranraer to continue the Coastrider tour of Great Britan. Northern Ireland isn't as hilly as other parts of the UK with longer rather than steeper gradients. The bigger challenge is the wet and windy weather!The 45-65 mile (70-100km) per day was based on my wish to finishing in towns with multiple options for accommodation and I decided not to camp on this tour.I planned these rides on Komoot and OS maps and I ride with a Hammerhead Karoo following the route and an old Samsung phone in a waterproof case running OS maps. However carefully I looked at the original route at home at some point every day I would question Komoots choice of routing and would need to make on the spot changes.
