Starting point: the five via ferratas in Selva Switzerland

Goal: the via ferrata below the Selva Castle. The place is really cute and rustic, the people relaxed, delicious bakery on the market, small castle with falconry.

Very nice hike with an old school friend. From sunshine to snow showers, everything was there in terms of weather. 😎

Five DAV via ferratas of category B / C to D. The KS "Yeti" is a real challenge of category E. Short and crisp. Descent diretissomo, traverse directly above the Zschopau, almost free of brackets, ascent with overhang. Or the other way around. Hot.

Today we explored the playground at the whale pond in Stollberg. Hit. A super-large area with a rope bridge, climbing and bouldering elements, many slides, various swings, water and mud games, located on the whale pond and Gablnzbach. Beautiful, partly crisp KS, see photos for topography. It was fun, the descent after the small rope bridge was challenging. OK then. There is a summit book. Incidentally, a young mountain friend with a borrowed set asked to hang both carabiners on the rope. Didn't he know 🙄 That's how it happens. Then he did. Nice KS.

Nice little via ferrata tour with 5 routes of the categories KS 2-5 / 6. The entrances are above the free parking lot opposite the Zschopau weir. Please inform us about the routes beforehand, Yeti is not for beginners. 😎

Vanuit Erlabrunn gingen we naar de Plattenberg (aardappelpannenkoekjes!) en weer terug naar Johanngeorgenstadt. Lekker rondje met een plaatselijke schoolvriend en Vice-Auerbergskönig 👌

De Walter Keiderling KS is makkelijk te doen, C/D, 350 m, 50 m, touwbrug en een frisse afdaling. 👌
