An der Schwalm

At the Schwalm we always like to go along. The WaWaWe Schalmbruch connects beautiful stretches on the Schwalm in Holland with the Elmpter Schwalmbruch via a path through the NSG Diergardtsche forest. A nice hike, which we can only recommend!

A hike on the Schwalm is always a highlight for us. Today we were on the Dutch side again.

The "slow mode" of our tour - we were 3.5 hours on the road - is due to the fact that there was a lot to see. A great route. For us the second hike on the Schwalmbruch. Both directions from the parking lot (Tour 1 to Holland, Tour 2 in the direction of Brüggen) are recommended.

The start through the beautiful beech forest at the Molzmühle was fantastic. The sun was low at 9 o'clock, but it was already very strong. The glaring areas where the sun permeated, and the dark shadows in the forest were exaggeratedly contrasting, as in an Impressionist painting. For the four-legged… meer lezen

Time again along the Schwalm! Today, a stage south of Lake Harik was on the program. Only a short distance the way actually led along the Schwalm, otherwise it went into the surrounding countryside.

At the Schwalm we like to hike on German or Dutch side and explore new river sections.



Today we went in the footsteps of the Schwalm springs in the area of ​​Tüschenbroich Castle. A nice Sunday tour.

A short hiking trail is the WaWaWe 3. It leads through the forest, meadows and fields in the Schwalmtal to the Hariksee and the Borner See.

The Lüttelforst is just beautiful! Today, the planned tour was a bit shorter, because we were around noon and it should be warm again. At the end of the tour we almost thought it was over.

The four-legged friends were also having fun: romping, bathing and mud pawing were all inclusive today.

A hike along the Schwalm and through the woods near Lüttelforst is a pleasure in every season. We had lots of fun!

Our hike on May 1st, which also happened to be the 500th Komoot tour, took us to the Schwalm. A small tour of the beautiful village of Lüttelforst was involuntary because the bridge we had planned over the Schwalm was closed. It was nice!

We visited the Schwalm at the headwaters near Tüschenbroich Castle. A beautiful corner, which is well frequented especially at the weekend around the restaurant at the grain mill at Schlossteich. Planned as a meeting on the Hundespielwiese Schwalmtal with the group NESTRA, a walk around the Hariksee was added. Very nice to look at, everything was very well done - maybe not a typical hike, but the right thing for a Sunday afternoon excursion.
