Are you looking for a small challenge? Do you want to see more than on a classic walking Tour? A daypacking adventure in the Ore Mountains or Thuringian Forest takes you into nature for a whole day where you can clock up lots of distance, altitude metres, new places and great memories. Afterwards, you’ll collapse into bed in the evening, exhausted, but unable to stop smiling. You’ll remember this hike for a long time to come.

You don’t even have to travel far afield to have such an experience – there are beautiful regions in Germany waiting for you to discover. In this Collection, we’ve put together seven exciting day Tours that offer a lot of variety and, above all, a physical challenge.

On these routes, you hike through the Saale Valley on narrow stairs, explore winding gorges and fairytale ravines in the Thuringian Forest and climb panoramic rocks and peaks in the Ore Mountains. In picturesque valleys, you can breathe deep and leave everyday life behind. The starting points of the Tours are easy to reach by bus, train or car. To ensure your daypacking adventure is a success, you need the right equipment. Sturdy shoes, as well as a sufficiently large and comfortable rucksack, are equally important. We recommend packing a rucksack that has a volume of 15 to 30 litres.

Top tip: The AC Lite 17 model or the AC Lite 15 SL model for women have enough space for your adventures. You can stow everything you need for a whole day in nature in these rucksacks. As you can never be sure of the weather, you can pack your rain gear and, depending on the temperature, a small packable insulated jacket. Don’t forget to take enough drinks and snacks with you too. A snack always tastes best in the fresh air. So, let’s go on an adventure!
