Mountainbike Highlight (Segment)
The Stellmoor-Ahrensburger tunnel valley is particularly interesting from a geological point of view. During the last ice age, melt water flowed into tunnels below the glacier, so that the subsoil was cut to different extents. Many Stone Age finds have also been discovered in this area.
Here you can forget the time on beautiful trails. On the Alfred Rust hiking trail you follow the traces of the first settlers and you can use information boards to get a comprehensive picture of the geology and the archaeological significance of the tunnel valley.
The new boardwalk is really great and always worth a detour.
You can use it to cycle through the moor with great views of nature. The boardwalk is floating and it rocks a bit when you drive on it. It was great fun to drive here.
It can only be very slippery when wet - so be careful!
The screed path is clearly only signposted as a pedestrian path.tourismus-stormarn.de/de/naturerlebnis/stellmoor-ahrensburger-tunneltal-11
