In about half an hour tour through part of the more than 1200 meters long grotto, there is much to admire in the bizarre limestone world. Fallen soldiers were thrown through this hole during the War of the Spanish Succession and from there Anna Maria Friedl fell down, who was found alive again after five days.
Driven by the curiosity and the fascination that emanates from this location, it continues through partly narrow and low passages, first to the eagle's grotto. As if he had flown directly into the wall and patiently waited for the fossilization to make him immortal, the enormous wings of an eagle perched on and in the rock.
And another surprise awaits the visitor. Maybe you should call the iceberg the heart of the cave giant. This stalactite is the largest in Germany with its enormous dimensions. At the exit itself, some skeletal remains testify to the former existence of the cave bear and the soldiers who found their earthly end in the Maximilian Grotto in 1703.
