You leave the old town on the railway embankment that connects the island with the mainland, and follow the Lake Constance cycle path for a short distance until just before the Austrian border. Then you leave the lake behind and drive along Leiblach in the middle of the Allgäu. Gentle hills covered with meadows, cozy hamlets and at the horiozont the Alps - there is no better way to cycle.Mostly uphill you can explore the hilly Allgäu with its scattered farms. Again and again a wonderful panorama opens up to you. The first stage ends in Oberstaufen. In the Aquaria adventure pool, you can end the evening and relax your calves in the thermal water.

In each one you can refresh yourself and stretch your feet in or swim a lap.Füssen is on your way, where a beautiful historic old town awaits you. Here you can take a leisurely lunch break. A fabulous view opens up shortly behind Füssen: With rocky mountains in the background, the Bullachberg, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles proudly sit side by side. The monastery with its baroque basilica has been the spiritual and cultural center of the Tölzer Land for centuries. After a long climb that leads you past the herb garden in Bad Heilbrunn, you will reach the Stallauer Weiher and at the same time the highest point of today's stage. You can expect a particularly beautiful route through nature, far from roads and car traffic. The path is partly natural. Reason enough to slow down and enjoy the landscape intensely. The next highlight, the Schliersee, is not far away. The town center seems to be cut out of a picture book. The next ten kilometers you cycle gently uphill. It is not far to the next pretty place, Aschau. The church with its two double onion towers is a pretty sight. A little later you roll downhill towards Bernau am Chiemsee and can really relax there on the shore.
