Ostsee-Kreuzfahrt 2017 mit großartigen Städten in sieben Ländern

Back from the Baltic Cruise I set here a few run (combined partly driven) routes. Here is our arrival day to Laboe, before we check in on the next day in Kiel.

... on the way from Laboe to the embarkation to Kiel we visit Heikendorf and the local U-boat memorial (unfortunately forget to activate the GPS from the beginning of the route).

... in the meantime are in the port "Westerplatte", which is located about 10km north of Gdansk away. Gdańsk is our first stop on the journey and the drive goes towards the city center of Gdańsk. There is a multi-hour city tour provided.

... Gdansk is a great city, I never thought!

... after the city tour in Gdansk we went back to the ship and after a short break we made a tour on the Westerplatte.

... the next part of the journey went to Klaipeda (Lithuania) where we visited the Curonian Spit with the town of Nida (Nida), the summer house of Thomas Mann and Klaipeda itself. On this excursion the hikes were of course linked to bus trips because of the distance to the ship. That's why the many kilometers… meer lezen

Our next stop to Klaipeda was Riga, the capital of Latvia. Again, we had plenty of time to explore the city on our own, but had to constantly run in the rain. That was not so easy with the photograph. One short break to warm up and dry, however, we could put in a nice cafe, before it went out into the rain again.

At the 30.04.17 we have at our next landing in Tallinn finally again a weather in which the umbrella is hardly necessary. So we can explore the capital of Estonia on a long tour.

In the evening we continue to St. Petersburg, where we will spend 2 days in the harbor directly at the city center.

As part of our Baltic cruise we also came to St. Petersburg, where we had two days stay.

The exploration of St. Petersburg is privately difficult and requires a visa. Otherwise you only come with guided tours from board and into the city.

The entry into the Kiel Canal was announced for about 4 o'clock in the morning, but I was, as we were in Laboe for a day before embarking on the voyage, from just after three on deck to perhaps something useful to discover.
