Cabin Fever 2019 - Jönköping

Cabin Fever was the first ever 'bikepacking Grand Prix' of Sweden. The first edition was held in May of 2019, and subsequent editions were cut short by the pandemic. The route is an amazing 720km through the rolling hills of the Smaland region around the town of Jönköping (pronounced ...). The course consists of four loops of different lengths, that all pass back through Jönköping again. This will allow you to travel relatively light and resupply in the town itself. Most of the Swedish countryside is sparsely populated and resupply is few and far between, so I'ld suggest to stock up on food before every loop. Most of the route is rideable with a few sections sections that might need a little hike-a-bike. Most of the route should be doable on a solid gravel bike with 45-50mm tires, and is definitely rideable on a hardtail mountainbike.
